Welcome to Lawnside Lower School Website!

On behalf of the children, staff and governors, I would like to welcome you the website for our school.  I hope that you will enjoy browsing our website and finding out more about Lawnside Lower School!

We are very proud of our school and its achievements.  We hope that you will find this website a useful source of information, showing what we can offer families and children during this important phase of in their education.  We have a strong relationship with The Lawns Nursery Centre of Excellence which provides the pre-school placement for most of the pupils that come to Lawnside in the term of their fifth birthday.  Pupils remain here until the end of Year 4, when they transfer to local Middle Schools.

As well as all the information on the website, we hope that you will see that the school provides a happy, safe and supportive environment in which children are encouraged to become active learners, achieve their potential in education and be positive members of society.

Schools work best for pupils when there is strong communication and respect between parents, carers and staff.  I believe that you will find that the staff at Lawnside are open, approachable and willing to listen and discuss your child and any concerns that you might have.  We will welcome your interest, involvement, support and look forward to working with you to make the most of your child’s opportunities in school.
